Rev. Fred Plumer is well-known in his denomination for his work in church growth. He has been on the Advisory Board for the Center for Progressive Christianity for nearly a decade and has written a study guide for TCPC's ''Eight Points.'' Rev. Plumer was the executive producer of a video and workbook called ''A Journey of Faith'' which deals with the Open and Affirming process in the UCC. Rev. Plumer retired last year from the Irvine United Congregational Church after twenty years to devote more time to writing and publishing.
